About the Club

The University of South Australia Rowing Club is a new and up and coming rowing club. Boasting 100 members and continueously increasing, the University of South Australia Rowing Club was created to cater to the students staff and alumni of the University of South Australia.The members of the UniSA Rowing Club comprise of  both undergraduate and post-graduate students and caters to the rowing needs of the Universitys thirty-six thousand plus students at the University of South Australia; the largest University in South Australia.

The University of South Australia Rowing Club's main focus is to compete in as many events as possible in the annual Australian University Championship, commonly known as Intervarsity or simply IV. Each year a number of UniSA students compete in the championship, to prove to themselves and their competitors the might of the University of South Australia Rowing Club.

Whilst the University of South Australia competed at major event such as the Australian University Championship/ IV prior to 2008, the UniSA Rowing club was only formed in 2008 as a committee of the University of South Australia's student union, Unilife. It is because of the commitee, formed by student, valued member and former president, Susan or Sue Hagley, that the future of rowing at the University of South Australia as well a rowing as a more recognised sport brightens. Since its formation in 2008 the club has is going from strength to strength and in a stage of rapid growth, boasting a number of South Australian Sports Institute members. With the continued support from the University, Unilife and of course the University of South Australia Rowing Club members, the club will continue to grow at its current rate and will become a formidable rowing club in Australia.

This year the University of South Australia is looking to at sending a large contingency to represent the University and the club at the Austra lian University Games (Intervarsity) in Perth, Western Australia.
